  • Rescuers, The -- Disney animated feature in which two tiny members of the International Rescue Aid Society of mice are dispatched to save an orphan girl from the clutches of wicked Madame Medusa ensconced in her lair on a Mississippi sternwheeler beached in the dark Louisiana swamps. Director Wolfgang Reitherman paces the action rather smartly, though some scenes may be a bit scary for the very young. All others, however, will find it entertaining enough, helped along by an imaginative assortment of human and animal characters as well as several pleasant songs. (A-I) (G) ( 1977 )
